Your New Role

As a Graduate/Design Engineer, you will support the design and development of innovative engineering products from concept through to manufacture. Working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional departments, you will gain exposure to the full product development lifecycle while developing your technical and commercial engineering knowledge.

Key duties will include:

  • Producing 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings.
  • Supporting new product development and product improvement projects.
  • Assisting with engineering calculations, testing and validation activities.
  • Preparing technical documentation and bills of materials.
  • Liaising with production teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
  • Collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery.
  • Supporting cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring designs comply with quality, safety and customer requirements.

What You'll Need to Succeed

To be considered for this opportunity, you should have:

  • Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks Essential.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Placement year or internship experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
