The following 4 positions are available;
1.) Audit, Risk & Financial OversightThis role will support the Board in overseeing financial sustainability, risk management, internal control and regulatory compliance across a large and complex further and higher education group.
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in:
- Audit, risk management or internal control
- Finance, accountancy or financial governance
- Senior leadership in regulated or complex organisations.
This role will support assurance around statutory compliance, capital investment, estates strategy and environmental responsibility.
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in:
- Estates or facilities management
- Health & safety leadership or regulation
- Capital projects, infrastructure or sustainability
- Environmental or clean energy initiatives.
This role will support the Board in providing assurance and strategic challenge in relation to workforce sustainability, leadership, culture, employee relations and organisational capability across a large and complex further and higher education group.
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in:
- Senior HR, people or organisational development leadership
- Workforce strategy, culture change or employee engagement
- Governance or oversight of people, pay, performance and wellbeing
- Leading organisations through change, transformation or growth.
This role will support the Board in overseeing digital transformation, data governance, cyber risk and the effective use of technology to support strategy delivery across a large and complex further and higher education group.
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in:
- Digital transformation or technology strategy at senior level
- Data governance, information assurance or cyber security oversight
- AI, digital innovation or large scale systems implementation
- Governance or assurance roles in complex or regulated environments.

What is the commitment?
Being a governor is a voluntary role, but it is a vital one. Governors are typically expected to commit to:
- Attending Full Board meetings
- Joining at least one specialised committee
- Reviewing board papers in advance of meetings to ensure informed discussions
- Occasionally attending college events, award evenings, and strategic planning days.
