Interim Finance Manager
6-Month Interim Assignment Immediate / Short Notice Required

SF Partners are supporting a fantastic business in the appointment of an experienced Interim Finance Manager for an initial 6-month assignment.
This is a broad, senior finance role with responsibility for the financial reporting and control across multiple UK entities, working closely with European finance leadership, operational accounting teams and Group stakeholders. Due to the interim nature of the requirement, candidates will need to be immediately available or able to start at short notice.
The Role
Reporting into senior European finance leadership, key responsibilities will include:
- Ownership of the monthly close across multiple UK entities
- Ensuring accurate reporting in line with IFRS, local GAAP and Group accounting policies
- Analysis of key financial KPIs including profitability, Opex, Capex, working capital and cash flow
- Balance sheet ownership, reconciliations and detailed account analysis
- Identifying trends, risks and issues within the numbers and providing meaningful insight to management
- Reconciling transactional accounting with management and Group reporting
- Preparation and filing of statutory accounts and local tax returns
- Acting as the key contact for internal/external audit and relevant tax authorities
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls, accounting policies and external legislation
- Supporting ad hoc finance, systems and process improvement projects
- Direct and indirect management of finance colleagues within the UK
- Working closely with shared service teams, Group Finance, operational stakeholders and external advisers
The Candidate
We're looking for an experienced ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified finance professional who can quickly get to grips with a complex international environment.
- Strong financial accounting, reporting and controls experience
- Experience within a large, international or matrix organisation
- Good working knowledge of IFRS and UK statutory reporting
- Strong balance sheet and month-end experience
- Previous experience managing or leading finance teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work across multiple stakeholders and take end-to-end ownership
- Experience with SAP and/or Sage would be advantageous
- Manufacturing experience would be useful but is not essential
This role would suit an experienced Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Group Finance Manager or Senior Financial Accountant who is comfortable stepping into a complex environment and making an immediate impact. This is an initial 6-month interim assignment with a view to extend, so applicants must be available immediately or at short notice.
