Head of Finance
Tortus AI LTD
About Tortus Tortus is building the AI clinician assistant for healthcare. Our technology takes the administrative weight off clinicians so they can spend more time with patients and less on paperwork, safely and accurately. We work with the NHS and leading hospitals. We are a small, ambitious team backed by top-tier investors. We are scaling quickly: growing revenue, entering new markets, and building the systems and people that let us do that well. This is the moment we bring in first substantive senior finance hire, and you would be the person who owns it. About the role We are looking for our first Head of Finance to build and own the finance function as we scale through and beyond Series A. You will be the most senior finance person in the business as we transition from a fractional CFO, and become the trusted partner to the CEO and a genuine contributor to the leadership team; the person who gives the board confidence in our numbers and keeps our finances running cleanly as we grow. This is a hands-on, build-it role, not an inherit-it one. Today finance runs through a strong outsourced provider alongside a fractional CFO. You would own that relationship and get the best from it, bring the right work in-house over time, and put in place the processes and systems a scaling two-country business needs. Working through outsourcing, contracting and good tooling is how the role is designed to work, so that more of your time goes to the commercial and strategic finance that matters. Over time you would build a small team beneath you. You will bring the calm, pragmatic rigour that founders trust when the stakes are high. What you will do Board, investor and leadership partnership Act as a trusted financial partner to the CEO and leadership team, providing clear, timely insight to support fast decisions. Own board and investor reporting: concise, investor-grade packs covering financials, KPIs, cash and strategic progress. Translate complex financial information into straightforward narratives that build confidence with the board and investors. Position finance for the next raise: clean numbers and defensible unit economics that investors understand, with the data room and diligence ready. Commercial finance and the revenue model Partner with the commercial team on reliable, assumptions-led pipeline and revenue forecasting that reflects long public-sector sales cycles and an evolving revenue model. Own the definitions that matter as our pricing evolves: ARR, revenue recognition, billing and renewal forecasting, so the business works from one consistent set of numbers. As pricing develops, build the underlying cost model, stress-test the pricing, and help operationalise it into real billing and revenue recognition. Build the financial visibility to manage unit economics, including COGS (inference, speech-to-text and LLM costs) with engineering, and margin with commercial. Help shape and standardise commercial contract terms to improve cash flow and make revenue cleaner to recognise. Financial planning and analysis Own the financial model working with the outsourced provider: maintaining scenario capability, stress-testing key assumptions, and keeping it reconciled to actuals. Run a monthly forecasting and variance process with clear accountability across the team. Manage cash flow and runway with transparency, presenting scenarios to leadership on an ongoing basis. Lead budgeting that is light enough not to slow the business down, but rigorous enough for real control, with budgets and headcount owned by the teams and finance partnering and challenging. Finance operations, systems and process Manage our outsourced provider to ensure accurate bookkeeping, timely close and clean reporting, assess bringing scope in-house over time as capacity allows. Build the processes first and then the systems to support them, across revenue and billing, purchase-to-pay and approvals, and cash and treasury, buying tools on trigger rather than aspiration. Introduce sensible spend-approval and procurement guidelines that protect cash without creating bureaucracy. Ensure R&D tax claims are optimised, and VAT and payroll are managed accurately through our providers. Risk, controls and governance Develop financial controls and governance that are proportionate to our stage and scale with the business. Maintain oversight of financial risk, contributing to the risk register, with input on insurance cover and renewals. Establish governance rhythms appropriate for our stage and investor expectations. Support equity and cap table administration alongside the People team. You have probably been part of a journey where the finance function was built rather than inherited, and you were the person who built it, or who kept it standing. you knew where every number came from, and could explain it without opening the file. a fundraise or an audit ran alongside everything else, and month-end still happened on time. processes were good enough rather than perfect, and you improved them without stopping the business to do it. you took something over from someone else, or handed something over, and you know what actually makes that work. What we are looking for A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or qualified by experience with a track record that speaks for itself. Experience as the most senior finance person in a small company, or a strong number two ready to step up and hold the whole thing, ideally in a startup or scale-up. You want to build a function, not inherit one. Comfortable across the full range in a single day: a technical accounting judgement, a supplier query, a board paper, a payroll question. You are comfortable in a technical environment, where the people around you are expert in something you are not, and you can learn enough of their language to be useful. Ideally a background in healthtech, medtech, or another sector with complex, long-cycle or public-sector revenue, where income does not follow a neat SaaS curve. Strong financial modelling: you can build, stress-test and communicate a model an investor will trust. Experience managing outsourced finance providers and holding them to a high standard, with a view on what to bring in-house and when. Exposure to fundraising, diligence and board reporting. Discreet and trustworthy. You will hold the cap table, payroll and board material. A clear communicator. Much of the value of this role is making complex financial positions understandable to people who are not accountants, and challenging assumptions without friction. Why join us Own and build the finance function of a fast-growing healthtech at the point it matters most, with a path to grow as the company scales. Work directly with the fractional CFO, CEO and leadership on decisions that shape the business. Do work that matters: giving clinicians their time back and improving care. Competitive salary, meaningful equity, and the range and ownership of a genuine first-in-role hire. Tortus is an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are happy to discuss flexible and hybrid working.

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. ABOUT THE TEAM As a key member of Anduril's recruiting team, you will own hiring requirements end-to-end: sourcing, screening, managing candidates through interviews, closing offers, and reporting performance to stakeholders. You'll have the autonomy and tooling to execute against our strategy of building a world-class team. We're looking for a high-ownership operator who treats recruiting as a data-driven discipline - someone who builds pipeline, measures what's working, and translates the numbers into clear recommendations for the business. This position supports technical and functional roles across hardware, software, and division operations. This role is onsite in London, UK. This is a full-time position. WHAT YOU'LL DO Source and manage a high volume of technical candidates, maintaining tight feedback loops with hiring managers and business stakeholders. Build deep partnerships with engineering leaders - calibrate profiles, shape talent strategy, and execute against hiring plans. Own pipeline analytics: track funnel conversion, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, interview-to-offer ratios, and offer-acceptance rates. Surface insights weekly to hiring managers and recruiting leadership. Translate data into action - diagnose bottlenecks, recommend interventions, and report results to stakeholders in a format they can act on. Develop a deep understanding of the mission and the technology so you can pitch the opportunity credibly and close exceptional defense-tech talent. Build long-range recruiting strategies grounded in pipeline data, including referral programs, sourcing channel optimization, and process automation. Act as a subject matter expert in sourcing techniques and tools - Boolean, LinkedIn Recruiter, SOBO campaigns, web scraping, data extraction, and candidate management workflows. Conduct screens and interviews with a high signal-to-noise ratio, demonstrated by strong interview-to-offer conversion. Drive diverse talent into the organization and deliver a positive candidate experience through proactive, transparent communication. CORE REQUIREMENTS 5+ years sourcing and closing technical roles in defense technology, with direct experience recruiting robotics talent (mechanical design, structures/composites, propulsion, thermal systems, electrical, controls, autonomy, or embedded software). Demonstrated ability to use pipeline and performance data to drive decisions - funnel analysis, conversion benchmarking, source ROI - and to report those insights to hiring managers and senior stakeholders. Multiple years managing hiring-manager relationships: profile calibration, weekly pipeline reviews, and data-backed recommendations on strategy and prioritization. Strong working understanding of the technical skills required for hardware and software engineering roles in a robotics or aerospace context. Experience managing multiple concurrent funnels and keeping candidates moving through the process without drop-off. Working proficiency with Greenhouse, Gem, and LinkedIn Recruiter; comfort building reports and dashboards from ATS and sourcing-tool data. Clear, structured communication with candidates - understanding motivations, drivers, and fit. Track record of acting as a consultative partner whose guidance has measurably improved hiring outcomes. Ability to work autonomously while staying highly collaborative across a small, fast-moving team. No task is beneath you - team player with a bias to action who does whatever it takes to deliver for teammates and stakeholders. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS Experience recruiting at both a recruiting agency and a fast-paced startup. Experience recruiting across a mix of hardware engineering, software engineering, and program management roles. The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Associate Product Manager, Platform
Picnic-Media-Limited-1
Who are Picnic & what do we do? Picnic's mission is to drive a higher quality ad-funded internet. Today, a large proportion of digital advertising is ineffective, intrusive and poorly optimised. Picnic builds technology that helps brands make better decisions about where and how their advertising is shown, improving outcomes for users, advertisers, and publishers alike. We're a fast growing, founder-led startup. Over the last couple of years we've built PIQ into one of the strongest independent media quality datasets for the open web, and turned it into a profitable data licensing business, with our data now running inside the platforms where media is bought and sold. We're now focused on commercialising that platform: growing our licensing partnerships, extending our measurement into YouTube and CTV, and using our quality data to directly improve advertiser outcomes. This is our first Associate Product Manager role, and it sits at the centre of that. What will you be doing as an Associate Product Manager? You'll report to our Chief Product & Technology Officer and take ownership of how we measure and monitor the health of the PIQ data platform: the system that measures the quality of the open web and powers everything else we sell. You will: Own how we measure and report platform health, covering the coverage, freshness and accuracy of our data across our priority markets Help keep our core data acquisition running to the standard our products depend on Investigate the data yourself - when coverage drops or a number looks wrong, you'll write the query or the script to find out why rather than raising a ticket and waiting Support delivery of our data licensing partnerships, helping get our data live, integrated and genuinely in use with the platforms that license it Contribute to the new quality signals our advertiser products depend on, gathering the requirements and helping shape how we build them Write clearly: specifications, decision records, and the reasoning behind them You'll sit close to engineering and close to the commercial side of the business. Much of this work has not had a dedicated owner before, so there's real scope to shape how it gets done. Who are we looking for? We're looking for someone technical, curious and comfortable with data, who wants to build a product career somewhere small enough that their work is visible. You don't need product experience - you do need to be able to get into a dataset and come out with an answer. You will: Have a STEM degree, or equivalent evidence that you think rigorously: maths, engineering, computer science, physics, statistics or similar Be able to write SQL and Python well enough to interrogate and analyse data independently Have clarity of thought and structured thinking, and be able to make decisions when the picture is incomplete Be able to create order where there isn't any, and work a problem through without someone standing over you Communicate clearly with engineers and with commercial colleagues, and know when to adjust for the audience Be genuinely interested in how technology and systems work Familiarity with advertising technology is a bonus, but not required. Programmatic advertising has a lot of jargon and not much mystery, we'll teach you. If you don't tick every box, don't rule yourself out. We care more about how you think than about what you've already done. Why work at Picnic? You'll be joining at the point where a strong technical platform becomes a commercial business, and your work will be visible in that. At Picnic: You'll have real ownership early - this isn't a rotation scheme or a shadowing year You'll work directly with our CPTO and closely with the founder and leadership team, whilst having the opportunity to learn from other Product Managers You'll learn programmatic advertising from the inside, at a company whose entire product is data Ideas move quickly from concept to production - we value momentum, learning, and impact What can Picnic offer you? We're proud to have been recognised by Culture100 and Flexa as one of the best and most flexible small businesses to work for. We offer: A flexible, hybrid working setup, with regular time together in our Bankside office 33 days holiday - inclusive of Bank Holidays - plus additional Christmas shutdown Private Medical Insurance Inclusive parental leave policy A great office, regular socials, Picnic Thursdays, Summer Fridays and 'Work from Roam' opportunities Salary: £30-40k
