The Liberty Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing organisation in the search for an experienced HR Advisor to join their HR team.

Reporting into a fantastic Head of HR, you will work closely with key stakeholders across the business, delivering a high-quality, generalist HR service. You'll play a key role in supporting managers, driving best practice and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, all within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Based in the West Sussex area, paying circa £40,000 plus a very generous annual bonus and some excellent benefits. This opportunity would be perfect for someone proactive who enjoys a busy and varied role.

What you'll do as an HR Advisor:

  • Build strong relationships with managers, providing expert HR advice and support across the full employee lifecycle
  • Act as the first point of contact for your designated business areas, delivering a proactive HR service
  • Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and performance matters
  • Support managers in applying HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice
  • Analyse and report on HR data, providing insights to support business decision-making
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting exit interviews where required
  • Provide guidance on family leave policies, including maternity and paternity
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
  • Assist with payroll administration and employee data management
  • Support and lead HR projects and people initiatives

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience managing employee relations cases from start to finish
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience within a generalist HR Advisor or HR Business Partner role
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive, flexible and solutions-focused approach
  • Experience using HR systems and the full Microsoft Office suite
