Remote Creative Lead / Creative Lead Role Overview Our client is looking for an experienced Remote Creative Lead / Senior Creative Designer to join their team on a remote basis.
Working closely with the Head of Design, design team, project managers and production teams, you will provide day-to-day creative leadership, develop innovative design solutions and ensure concepts are translated into high-quality, practical and buildable event environments.
You will play a key role in mentoring and developing the design team, supporting creative problem-solving and helping to establish a collaborative, ambitious and high-performing culture.
Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities - Lead and oversee the day-to-day creative design output across events, exhibitions, brand activations and temporary fit-out projects.
- Provide creative direction, guidance and constructive feedback to designers at all levels.
- Mentor and develop members of the design team, supporting their professional and creative growth.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Design, project management, production and technical teams to develop solutions that balance creativity, budget, feasibility and buildability.
- Take ownership of creative problem-solving throughout the design process, responding positively and creatively to challenges.
- Ensure designs are developed to a high standard and effectively communicated through presentations, visualisations, drawings and other creative outputs.
- Help establish and maintain strong creative processes, standards and best practices.
- Encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing and new ways of thinking across the wider team.
- Stay informed about emerging trends, materials, technologies, production techniques and innovations within events, experiential design and temporary environments.
- Work effectively within project deadlines, prioritising multiple projects while maintaining a consistently high creative standard.
About You: - You will be an accomplished designer with strong experience within events, exhibitions, experiential, interiors, retail or temporary fit-out, with a portfolio demonstrating outstanding creative thinking and design execution.
- You will combine strong conceptual ability with an understanding of how ideas are developed into practical, buildable environments. You will be confident leading creative discussions, challenging briefs when appropriate and inspiring others to produce their best work.

What You ll Bring - Proven experience in a senior creative/design position.
- A strong portfolio showcasing creative concepts and completed event, experiential, exhibition, interior or temporary fit-out projects.
- Strong understanding of spatial design, materials, fabrication and production.
- Excellent visual communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working from initial concept through to design development and delivery.
- A natural ability to inspire, mentor and develop other designers.
- The confidence to take ownership of creative decisions while working collaboratively within a wider team.
Essential Criteria: - Design & Build Experience: A proven background working with a design and build contractor, transforming creative concepts into resolved, practical fabrication information. Minimum 5yrs experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced, fluent proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD (2D/3D).
- Bespoke Joinery & Details: A practical working knowledge of interior finishes and bespoke joinery fabrication.
- Structural Understanding: A solid foundational grasp of material capabilities, framing systems, and basic means of support for temporary and semi-permanent spaces.
- Autonomous Working Style: Highly self-motivated with the discipline to maintain productivity, proactively seek out missing technical information, and deliver high-quality work remotely without micro-management.
