About the role

We're looking for a detail-focused Recruitment Assessor to support a major Armed Forces recruitment programme.

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating digital video interviews to ensure candidates meet the required standards before progressing through the recruitment process for careers within the UK's Armed Forces.

You'll assess candidate motivation, suitability, and alignment using a structured scoring matrix, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance at every stage.

This is not a traditional recruiter role. It's a high-trust position where your judgement and attention to detail will directly impact hiring quality and speed.

This is a fast-paced role requiring strong analytical thinking, sound decision-making, and the ability to work efficiently within defined frameworks.

What you'll be doing

Your role will include:

  • Reviewing and assessing high volumes of digital video interviews
  • Applying structured scoring frameworks to evaluate candidate suitability
  • Producing accurate, high-quality assessment reports
  • Updating candidate records within the ATS in a timely manner
  • Ensuring fair, inclusive, and consistent assessment practices
  • Collaborating with team members to maintain assessment quality
  • Supporting continuous improvement of assessment processes
  • Monitoring candidate experience and assessment effectiveness

  • Excellent written communication and report writing skills

  • Understanding of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion principles
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Background in or connection with or to the Armed Forces (advantageous)

Contracted hours will be 37.5 a week but requires flexibility to undertake occasional weekend work.

This is a flexible team so in peak periods you may be asked to support the Compliance/Eligibility Team.
