Deputy Charity Shop Manager - Pontyclun

Salary: £15,632 per annum
Hours: 22.5 per week over 3 days between Monday& Sunday
Contract: Permanent

Weare lookingfor a proactive,friendlyandorganisedDeputy Charity Shop Manager to support the runningof ourPontyclunshop.You'llhelp create a welcoming, vibrant retail space that drives income, buildscommunityand supports the vital rescue and rehabilitation of dogs who deserve a second chance.

As our Deputy Manager, you will:

Support the Manager with the day-to-day runningof ourPontyclunshop.

Provide hands-on leadership to volunteers, helping them feel confident,motivatedand valued.

Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring every visitor receives a warm welcome.

Assistwith stock processing, pricing, rotation and merchandising tomaximisesales.

Help ensure the shop is clean,safe,and compliant with all Hope Rescue procedures.

Take responsibility for opening/closing the shop and supervising shifts when the Manager is off-site.

Supportaccuratecash handling, dailybanking,and administrative tasks.

Build strong local relationships to encourage donations,footfalland community engagement.

Whatwe'relooking for You'llthrive in this role if you are:

Experienced in retail (charity retail experience is a bonus but not essential).

A natural person who enjoys leading and supporting volunteers.

Positive,reliableand able to take initiative when needed.

Organised, adaptable, and confident managing busy periods.

Comfortable using tills/EPOS and basic IT systems.

Passionate about charity work and aligned with Hope Rescue's mission to save dogs in need.
