As our business continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to lead and develop our HR function, support our workforce, and contribute to the company's long-term growth and operational success.

Role Overview

The Human Resources Advisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management across the organisation. This includes workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, HR compliance, and the implementation of effective HR policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to ensure that the company attracts, develops, and retains a skilled and motivated workforce while maintaining compliance with UK employment legislation and best HR practices.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Undertakes research and analyses employee pay, working conditions, productivity, performance and other employment-related matters.
  • Develops and recommends HR and employee relations policies and assists with their implementation across the organisation.
  • Prepares and maintains employment policies, staff handbooks, procedures and HR documentation.
  • Supports management in recruitment, including preparing job descriptions, advertising vacancies, shortlisting applicants and interviewing candidates.
  • Advises management on recruitment, employee training, career development and workforce planning requirements.
  • Assists with negotiations and discussions between management and employees regarding pay, working conditions, working arrangements and other employment matters.
  • Monitors employee performance and assists managers with performance reviews, development plans and appropriate improvement measures.
  • Manages employee grievance and disciplinary procedures in accordance with company policies and applicable employment legislation.
  • Provides guidance on staff welfare, employee relations and workplace issues, referring matters to appropriate external advisers where necessary.
  • Maintains accurate employee records and ensures HR processes are consistently applied across the company's taxi, courier and delivery operations.
  • Keeps up to date with relevant employment legislation and advises management on changes affecting recruitment, pay, working conditions and employee relations.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' relevant professional experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a growing business environment.
