Overview
A leading US law firm is seeking a Finance Associate to join its London team. The practice advises financial institutions, sponsors and corporate borrowers on complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an associate with 2-5 years' PQE to join a growing team with strong deal flow, working closely with partners on sophisticated financing matters within a collaborative and high-performing environment.
What You'll Do
- Advise on a range of financing transactions, including acquisition finance and broader banking matters.
- Draft and negotiate finance documentation such as facilities agreements, security documentation and intercreditor agreements.
- Support cross-border transactions involving sponsors, lenders and corporates.
- Work closely with corporate and restructuring teams on multi-disciplinary deals.
- Manage transaction workstreams while building direct relationships with clients.
About You
- England & Wales qualified solicitor (or equivalent common law qualification).
- 2-5 years' PQE gained at a leading US, Magic Circle or top international finance practice.
- Strong technical grounding in banking and finance transactions.
- Experience handling complex finance documentation and deal processes.
- Commercially minded with strong organisational and communication skills.
- Motivated to develop within a collaborative and fast-paced practice.
Salary & Bonus
- Competitive US market-aligned compensation (NQ reference salary approximately £165,000).
- Salary progression aligned with PQE level (indicative range £191,000-£266,500).
- Performance-related bonus structure with enhanced bonus potential linked to productivity.
- Typical utilisation expectations around 1,800 hours annually.
