Job Description

This is a part time role - 24 hours a week. About the role:

Are you an organised, proactive and people-focused administrator with a passion for recruitment and HR? We are looking for a Recruitment and HR Administrator to support a busy People function, helping to deliver a smooth, professional and positive experience for candidates, employees and hiring managers.

This is a varied role covering the full recruitment administration process alongside general HR support where required. You will coordinate vacancies, interviews, offers, onboarding and pre-employment checks, while also maintaining accurate HR records, supporting employee lifecycle processes and providing first-line HR administration across the business.

What we will expect from you:
  • Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment administration process, from vacancy approval through to offer and onboarding
  • Draft, post and monitor job adverts across appropriate platforms and internal channels
  • Coordinating recruitment campaigns with hiring managers and recruitment agencies
  • Maintain relationships with recruitment agencies, including approved supplier details and agreed terms
  • Screen applications, support shortlisting activity and liaise with hiring managers to progress suitable candidates
  • Arrange interviews, prepare interview packs and ensure managers and candidates have the information they need
  • Manage candidate communication throughout the recruitment process, providing timely updates and a positive candidate experience
  • Prepare offer letters, contracts and new starter documentation accurately and in line with company processes
  • Coordinate pre-employment checks, including references, Right to Work checks and any role-specific compliance requirements
  • Building and maintaining an internal talent pool by reviewing previous applications and identifying suitable candidates for future vacancies
  • Support onboarding and induction processes to ensure new starters are welcomed and set up effectively
  • Maintain accurate employee records and recruitment data across HR systems, spreadsheets and personnel files
  • Respond to routine HR and recruitment queries from employees, candidates and managers in a professional and confidential manner
  • Produce recruitment and HR reports when required, helping to identify trends, priorities and areas for improvement
  • Maintaining regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process and notice period, providing a positive candidate experience
  • Support the People team with HR projects, process improvements and wider administrative activity as and when required
  • Coordinate new-starter induction administration and monitor completion of mandatory training

Qualifications:
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
Attributes & Skills: Essential:
  • Previous experience in recruitment administration, HR administration, resourcing or a similar people-focused role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling documentation, data and candidate information
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and approachable style
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with candidates, employees, hiring managers and colleagues
  • Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information in line with data protection requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Proactive, self-motivated and able to use initiative to keep processes moving
  • A good understanding of recruitment processes, onboarding requirements and general HR administration
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System or HR information system
  • Knowledge of UK employment legislation and recruitment compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting high-volume recruitment or multiple vacancies at one time
