An established and family-run accountancy practice is looking to recruit Accounts & Bookkeeping and Payroll & Bookkeeping jobs, to join its friendly team, based in Nottinghamshire. Working with a varied portfolio of SMEs, sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, there are separate opportunities, one focused on accounts and bookkeeping the other more around payroll and bookkeeping within a supportive and established firm.

Whether your experience is primarily within accounts and bookkeeping or you have broader payroll and bookkeeping experience, this firm can offer relevant and excellent opportunities, with flexibility around working arrangements.

The firm are able to consider both Part-time and Full-Time candidates.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidates will work with a varied portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting, bookkeeping or payroll services depending on the position and experience. You will build strong client relationships, ensure work is completed accurately and on time, and support businesses with their day-to-day financial requirements.

Accounts & Bookkeeping Job Responsibilities

• Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Managing bookkeeping for a varied portfolio of clients
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Supporting clients with Making Tax Digital
• Processing financial transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records
• Completing bank reconciliations
• Supporting with payroll and CIS work where required
• Liaising with clients and dealing with day-to-day queries

Payroll & Bookkeeping Job Responsibilities

• Processing payroll for a portfolio of clients
• Preparing and submitting RTI returns and dealing with payroll queries
• Managing bookkeeping for a range of clients
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Supporting clients with Making Tax Digital
• Processing financial transactions and completing bank reconciliations
• Preparing CIS returns where applicable
