Salary: 25,401.16 plus Veolia benefits
Location: Brighton Material Recovery Facility, BN1 7BB
Hours: Average 37.33pw - Working to a seasonal rota/shift system which includes evenings, bank holidays & weekend working
Winter (1st October - 31st March)
AM x 4, Rest Day x 2, PM x 4, Rest Day x 2 Shift Pattern
06:15-14:45 / PM 09:30-18:00
Summer (1st April - 30th September)
AM x 4, Rest Day x 2, PM x 4, Rest Day x 2 Shift Pattern
06:15-14:45 / PM 13:30-22:00

What will you be doing?
- Safely controlling Veolia, third-party waste collection authority and commercial vehicles access into and out of both Tipping Hall areas on Site
- Issue instructions to drivers of vehicles entering and leaving site/tipping halls
- Provide support to the leadership team, Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) team and Waste Transfer Station (WTS) team
- Housekeeping and light maintenance (cleaning, litter picking, painting, etc.) of the Tipping Halls and external areas of the site
- Provide cover during breaks to assist the site operations, particularly in Traffic Control, Weighbridge and Mobile Plant roles (subject to training provided)
- Completing daily site inspections and reporting defects/issues as required
- Completing the daily site fire watch before the site closes each day.
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience within a similar operational role / busy manual handling type of experience
- Good IT skills (word processing, spreadsheets)
- Experience operating Mobile Plant (loading shovels, excavators, forklifts) - desirable
- Weighbridge experience - desirable
