Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supply Chain Lead to join a major infrastructure organisation on an interim basis. This role will play a key part in leading regional sourcing activities, managing tender processes, and driving value through effective supplier and contract management.

The Role

As Supply Chain Lead, you will take ownership of a range of sourcing and procurement activities across construction, engineering works and services packages. Working closely with commercial and operational stakeholders, you will lead tendering exercises, supplier engagement, contract negotiations, and strategic sourcing initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading regional sourcing strategies and procurement activities
  • Managing end-to-end tender processes, including RFP preparation, evaluation, negotiation and contract award
  • Conducting supplier market analysis and identifying new sourcing opportunities
  • Supporting contract management activities and driving supplier performance improvements
  • Developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Ensuring procurement activities comply with relevant policies, procedures, and legislation
  • Leading commercial negotiations and delivering value-for-money outcomes


About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or supply chain leadership roles
  • Strong experience managing tendering and contract management activities
  • Knowledge and experience of NEC3 and/or NEC4 forms of contract
  • Experience delivering sourcing projects within construction, engineering, utilities, infrastructure or related sectors
  • Strong supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent analytical, commercial, and negotiation capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment

Experience within sectors such as utilities, energy, infrastructure, construction, engineering, transportation, oil & gas, renewables, defence, manufacturing, or major project environments will be particularly relevant. Experience of leading tenders and managing NEC3 or NEC4 contracts is highly desirable.
