Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Recruit4staff are representing a leading food manufacturing business in their search for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work in Trafford Park

Job Details:

• Pay: Up to £52,000 per annum (plus 5% annual bonus)
• Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off - 2 days and 2 nights, 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am
• Duration: Permanent

Job Role: As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will maintain and repair mechanical and electrical equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring effective handovers between shifts and supporting equipment reliability. The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will diagnose faults, carry out root cause analysis and use planned maintenance systems to prioritise engineering activities. Working closely with production colleagues, the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will also identify improvements, support asset care and help deliver long-term solutions to recurring equipment issues.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Previous experience within an FMCG environment is essential for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer position
• Recognised Electrical/Mechanical apprenticeship
• Electrically qualified with the ability to diagnose, test, repair and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities, including the use of RCA and 5 Why techniques
• Ability to identify machinery and component defects and accurately record maintenance information using CMMS/PMS systems
• The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer must be comfortable working collaboratively with production operators and engineering colleagues.
