Maths Teacher - Secondary SEMH School

Remedy Education are looking for a dedicated and confident Maths Teacher to join a secondary SEMH school based in Leyton.

The school are looking for a Maths Teacher who can support students with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs while delivering clear, structured and engaging lessons. This role would suit someone who is patient, resilient and confident helping pupils rebuild confidence in Maths.

Role Details:

Position: Maths Teacher
Location: Leyton
Pay: 180- 230 per day
Hours: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP / September roles available
School Type: Secondary SEMH School

The Role:

As a Maths Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver Maths lessons to secondary-aged students
Support pupils with SEMH, behavioural needs and gaps in learning
Break down Maths concepts clearly to support understanding
Adapt work to meet different abilities and learning needs
Maintain clear routines and positive behaviour expectations
Support students with confidence, engagement and academic progress
Work alongside support staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status or strong relevant teaching experience
Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
SEMH, PRU or Alternative Provision experience is desirable
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
A patient, calm and resilient approach
Confidence supporting students who may struggle to engage in mainstream settings
A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
