Trainee Estimator

£25,000-£35,000 + 10% bonusMonday-Thursday 08:30-17:00, Friday 08:30-16:00

A long-established roofing contractor with over 45 years' experience is looking for a Trainee Estimator to join its growing pre-construction team. The business delivers commercial and industrial roofing projects nationwide and offers a friendly, supportive and down-to-earth working environment with excellent long-term progression.

This is a full training role where you will learn how to support tenders, pricing and pre-construction activities across refurbishment and flat roofing schemes. You'll gain hands-on experience with measurements, pricing schedules, supplier enquiries and tender documentation, working on projects ranging from £50k to £3m.

• Supporting quantity take-offs and measurements
• Helping prepare tender documents, pricing schedules and cost plans
• Requesting and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Assisting with scope summaries, clarifications and value engineering options
• Working on roofing and refurbishment tenders across Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial and Public Sector projects

• £25,000-£35,000 depending on experience
• 10% discretionary bonus

• Ambitious, eager to learn and reliable
• Strong Maths skills and good IT ability (including basic Excel)
• Ideally some Estimating experience, OR:
• Studying or holding a construction-related qualification (BTEC, HNC, HND, T Level, apprenticeship)
• Some practical construction experience
• Looking for a long-term career with progression
• A stable CV is preferred

• Full-time, office-based role in Corby
• Monday-Thursday: 08:30-17:00
• Friday: 08:30-16:00
• 1-hour lunch break
