Be a part of it.We are looking for an Social Therapist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Ealing.As a Social Therapist, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team on an in-patient ward, with supervision, support and training you will deliver interventions defined within the personalised care plan, spend time engaging, connecting and supporting service users, families, carers and friends through their recovery pathway. You will help facilitate activities/groups and ward based projects and be actively involved in every aspect of their physical, psychological and social care of people who uses our service.You will be expected to work 38.5 hours a week (Days and night shifts) across a 7 day rota. Between (7:30am to 8:00pm) and (7:30pm to 8:00am) Please note due to the nature of the service we can only currently take on Female applicants Sunrise Ward is our 14 bed highly specialised eating disorder service for women, including those with extremely low BMIs. We focus on supporting individuals to attain a healthy BMI and prepare for a return to home.Cygnet Hospital Ealing provides a welcoming, non-institutional environment, offering personalised treatment for service users with an eating disorder or personality disorder over two separate wards.Your day-to-day Assess service users for social therapy as part of a multidisciplinary needs assessmentPlan & deliver social therapy observations & activities & determine their effectivenessProvide a variety of individual & group therapy work relating to social situationsMonitor, evaluate & adapt ongoing clinical work according to each individual's needsAttend clinical meetings & communicate with colleagues, agencies & families/carersComply with the codes of practiceWe Are Looking For Someone Who Is Qualified in Social Therapy / Psychology - Degree/Postgraduate Diploma/Masters or equivalentExperienced within a care environment, or with a passion for working in this settingPreferably experienced in a multidisciplinary team & in an evidence-based frameworkWhy Cygnet?
