Following continued growth and an increasing number of business owners choosing Knightsbridge to manage the sale of their companies, we are looking for an experienced and commercially driven individual to join our team as Commercial Director - South East. This is an exciting opportunity to represent an established and highly successful business sales group across the South East, working directly with company owners on one of the most important commercial decisions they will make. The Role This is a senior, client-facing sales role working with business owners across the South East who are considering the sale of their company or planning their future exit. The territory will cover a broad area across the South East, and we would particularly welcome applicants based in or around Maidstone, Chatham, Gravesend, Basildon, Crawley, Woking or the surrounding areas. Unlike a traditional Business Development Manager role, you will not be expected to generate your own leads or appointments. You will be supported by our established Lead Generation and Diary Management teams, who will provide you with a consistent diary of pre-arranged and qualified meetings with business owners who have expressed an interest in discussing the potential sale of their company. Your focus is simple: meet business owners, understand their business and objectives, demonstrate why Knightsbridge is the right partner to manage their sale, and secure their instruction. Undertake detailed fact-finds to understand each business, its financial performance and the owner's objectives. Review company accounts and key financial information. Discuss potential value ranges, valuation expectations, market positioning and potential sale strategies. Deliver professional, persuasive and commercially focused presentations of Knightsbridge's services. Clearly communicate the benefits and value of appointing Knightsbridge to manage the business sale, with the objective of helping the business owner achieve the best possible price. Handle questions and objections confidently and commercially. Negotiate and secure formal client instructions. Maintain momentum with prospective clients through effective and persistent follow-up. Deliver an exceptional client experience with professionalism, empathy and diligence. Maintain complete discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive business and financial information. Consistently achieve and exceed individual revenue targets. What We're Looking For Our preference is for someone with previous experience within business sales, M&A or a similar business brokerage environment, ideally with client-facing experience. Industry experience would be a significant advantage, as you will be dealing directly with business owners and discussing company performance, potential value ranges, exit objectives and the business sale process. However, it is not essential, and we would not want to overlook an exceptional salesperson with the right commercial ability and transferable experience. We are therefore also open to high-performing individuals from other consultative sales environments, particularly those accustomed to dealing with business owners, senior decision-makers or high-value transactions. This could include sectors such as estate agency, financial services, recruitment or property. Ultimately, we are looking for someone who can build credibility quickly, understand what matters to a business owner, present a compelling proposition and confidently secure the instruction. We are looking for someone with: A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Strong closing and negotiation skills. The confidence and credibility to engage with business owners and senior decision-makers. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. A compelling and professional presentation style. Strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand financial information. Good literacy and numerical skills. Package £35,000-£45,000 basic salary, depending on experience. £120,000+ OTE, with significant earning potential for high performers. Company car or car allowance. Mobile phone and laptop. Standard business expenses. Comprehensive industry-specific training. A consistent diary of pre-arranged and qualified appointments, with no requirement to generate your own leads. Dedicated Lead Generation and Diary Management support. Full support from Knightsbridge's established Head Office operation.
