Element Recruitment are supporting a professional services company in Taunton, who are seeking a proactive Facilities Team Leader to join a busy and growing organisation, overseeing a specialist business support operation while leading a small team and driving continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on role that combines people leadership, operational oversight, process improvement, compliance and service delivery. Working closely with senior facilities and operations colleagues, you'll play a key role in ensuring critical business processes are delivered efficiently, securely and to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing
  • Leading and supporting a small facilities support team, ensuring workloads are managed effectively and service standards are consistently met.
  • Acting as the escalation point for operational queries, resolving issues promptly and maintaining a positive user experience.
  • Supporting and overseeing the day-to-day delivery of a specialist document and mail processing function.
  • Reviewing existing processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and service delivery.
  • Monitoring operational performance, analysing management information and using data to drive improvements.
  • Producing reports and performance metrics for senior stakeholders.
  • Ensuring procedures, service standards and compliance requirements are consistently followed.
  • Supporting audits and maintaining high standards around information security, confidentiality and data protection.
  • Coordinating training, onboarding and ongoing development for team members.
  • Supporting recruitment, inductions, absence management and employee development activities.
  • Assisting with the implementation of new processes and helping embed positive change across the team.
What we're looking for Essential:
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader position within facilities, operations, administration, business support or service delivery.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience analysing data, producing reports and identifying trends.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
  • Experience supporting or implementing operational improvements.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Understanding of confidentiality, information security and data protection requirements.
Desirable:
  • Experience within document management, digital records, mail processing or similar operational environments.
  • Experience working within a professional services, regulated or corporate environment.
