We're working with a major UK organisation delivering secure, enterprise-scale data platforms across defence and national security programmes. This is hands-on engineering in operational environments, where scale, resilience and reliability aren't optional.

The role
Design and build modern data platforms and production-grade pipelines across secure cloud environments working alongside engineering and architecture teams on high-volume systems that drive real operational outcomes.

What you'll do
- Build scalable pipelines across ingestion, processing and serving layers
- Work with Python, SQL, APIs and distributed data tooling
- Handle structured and unstructured workloads at scale
- Integrate multiple sources into modern cloud platforms
- Collaborate across engineering and delivery on mission-critical programmes

The environment
Python, SQL, Spark, Java or Scala AWS, Azure or GCP modern distributed and cloud-native architectures

What we need
- Active DV clearance essential
- Production-scale pipeline experience
- Strong engineering and platform mindset
- Big data tooling and cloud ecosystem exposure
- Comfortable in delivery-focused, secure environments
