Job Role of the Food Technologist
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Food Technologist to join a well-established food manufacturing business in Erith. This role is part of a collaborative technical team focused on delivering high-quality products while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance.
You will be responsible for supporting product quality, ensuring compliance with customer and legal requirements, assisting with product development, investigating quality issues, and working closely with production to drive continuous improvements. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining food safety standards and ensuring products consistently meet customer expectations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Food Technologist looking to develop their career within a fast-paced and growing food manufacturing environment.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Food Technologist
- Previous experience working as a Food Technologist within a food manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of food safety, quality systems, and compliance within a manufacturing setting
Essential Requirements for the Food Technologist
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline
- Experience working within a food manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety legislation
- Experience with quality assurance and technical documentation
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
Desirable Requirements for the Food Technologist
- Experience working with major UK retailer standards
- Internal auditing experience
- Knowledge of BRCGS Food Safety Standard
- Experience supporting new product development (NPD)
