A National Account Manager opportunity has arisen with a well-regarded supplier in the pet category, offering a hybrid working model with one day per week in a West Midlands office. This could be the opportunity for you!

The Role

The National Account Manager will take responsibility for a portfolio of grocery and related retail customers, working to achieve sales, margin, and distribution targets across both branded and own-label product ranges.

You will build and deliver joint business plans that reflect the priorities of your customers as well as the wider business, leading commercial negotiations covering pricing, promotional programmes, and annual terms.

The Company

This is an established business operating in the pet accessories and treats sector, distributing products through a broad range of retail channels across the UK and beyond.

The role is hybrid remote, with one day per week in the West Midlands office.

What's Required?

The ideal candidate for the National Account Manager role will have the following:

  • Demonstrable background as a National Account Manager in FMCG or the pet category, with hands-on experience managing major grocery retail accounts

  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation ability, with a history of growing profitable sales

  • Confidence working with data, category management principles, and customer insight to shape decisions and identify opportunities

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and build strong relationships with both retail buying teams and internal colleagues
