Home-Start HOST Family Support Volunteer

Support a family in Stockport, Tameside, Oldham or Glossop who may be pregnant or have a child(ren) under five. The role is in the family's own home for up to 2 hours each week.

• Listen non-judgementally to a parent.
• Support the family to attend a group or local park.
• Assist the family in accessing financial support.
• Help strengthen the parent-child bond.

• Empathy and compassion are crucial.

• Paid DBS check.
• Reimbursement of travel costs.
• Comprehensive initial and ongoing training with support from charity staff.

• Location: Various SK locations - Stockport, Tameside, Oldham, Glossop.
• Schedule: up to 2 hours each week.
• Closing date for applications: 31 December 2026.
