Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Central London
Salary: Up to £90,000 + Car Allowance + Travel Expenses + Performance Bonus

An established and highly successful main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team on a landmark £60m development in Central London.

The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial management of key work packages and support the overall financial delivery of the project from pre-construction through to final account.
Working closely with the Commercial Manager, Project Director and site teams, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the commercial delivery of major subcontract packages
- Procurement strategy and subcontractor selection
- Contract administration and commercial compliance
- Managing applications, valuations and variations
- Cost reporting, forecasting and budget control
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks
- Negotiating and agreeing subcontract accounts
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team
- Producing monthly CVRs and commercial reports
- Driving project profitability and commercial performance
About You
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or an established Quantity Surveyor ready to step up
- Strong main contractor background
- Experience delivering residential, mixed-use, commercial or hospitality projects
- Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple work packages independently
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred)
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
