Job Description

We have a vacancy for an Agricultural Parts Assistant in our busy Grantham depot.

Working as part of a team you will be serving the busy workshop as well as retail customers, using Ibcos Gold, CaseIH, JCB and other computerised parts ordering systems.

This is a customer-facing role so excellent communication skills are vital in responding to and dealing with customer enquiries and orders with efficiency and professionalism both in person and over the phone.

The successful candidate will have some experience, be enthusiastic, conscientious and prepared to work long hours when the seasons demand.

Computer literacy is essential as is a good driving history.

Job Role
  • To support the Depot Parts Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the Parts Department.
  • To maintain and follow appropriate processes to ensure accurate goods in and out, stock management, invoicing and sales to both external and internal customers.
  • To organise the depot showroom in order to effectively sell and influence customer buying decisions in order to maximise profitability.
  • To deliver a first-class customer experience through following an appropriate sales process and having detailed product knowledge in conjunction with excellent customer relationship skills.

The successful candidate will need to be able to cover the core hours of 8am-5pm Monday to Friday and alternate Saturday mornings along with the ability to work extended hours during peak seasonal periods and the provision of cover at other Depots as and when required.
