About the RoleNew Chapter Tuition is seeking experienced and dedicated SEN / SEND Tutors to deliver 1:1 personalised tuition to children and young people aged 5-25 across Hillingdon.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners with Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, and additional needs, helping them re-engage with education and build confidence.
Sessions take place in homes, libraries, and community learning environments.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver 1:1 tailored tuition sessions
- Support learners with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, and complex needs
- Plan and adapt personalised learning programmes
- Work in line with EHCPs and individual learning plans
- Apply trauma-informed and nurture-based approaches
- Build positive, consistent relationships with learners
- Monitor progress and complete session reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, schools, and professionals
Requirements- Experience supporting SEN / SEND learners (essential)
- Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
- Background in education (Teacher, Tutor, HLTA, TA, Mentor, etc.) preferred
- Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently in community settings
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
