Mechanical Engineering Expert Witness

Firm: Leading Expert Witness & Dispute Advisory Consultancy
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Expert Witness to join our client's highly regarded expert witness and dispute advisory practice. As part of a specialist team that supports law firms, construction clients and businesses in international arbitration and litigation, you will provide independent expert opinion on complex mechanical engineering matters in sectors such as construction, infrastructure, energy, and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare high-quality expert reports for use in formal dispute resolution forums.

Provide clear, logical, and robust expert evidence in tribunals, court proceedings, and mediations.

Analyse technical documentation and project records to identify relevant mechanical engineering issues.

Engage with instructing solicitors, barristers, and clients with clarity and professionalism.
Requirements:

Chartered Mechanical Engineer or equivalent qualification.

15+ years' experience in mechanical engineering, including senior project / hands on roles.

Previous experience acting as an expert witness is desirable, but senior engineers with demonstrable forensic analysis and report writing skills will also be considered.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
