SEMH Learning Support Assistant
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and committed SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Warrington. This full-time, term-time position involves supporting students who need additional emotional and educational guidance to thrive in their learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students with SEMH needs in both classroom and one-to-one settings
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning plans and strategies
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Build positive relationships and offer consistent emotional support
- Support students' social, emotional, and behavioural development
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (highly desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Must be a confident driver with access to a vehicle (essential)
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
