Job Title: Capital Projects Manager
Location: Dorset, (Commutable from Southampton, Bournemouth, Poole, Blandford Forum, Dorchester, Shaftesbury & surrounding areas)
Salary: 70,000 + Bonus + Car allowance (OTE 85,000!)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Capital Project Manager to lead and deliver high-value CAPEX projects within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is critical in driving operational excellence through the successful execution of engineering and infrastructure projects, from concept through to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of CAPEX projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to specification
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and cost forecasts
Manage cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality, and external contractors
Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and regulatory standards
Oversee contractor selection, procurement processes, and vendor management
Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies
Provide regular project updates to senior stakeholders
Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings
Requirements
Proven experience managing CAPEX projects within FMCG or food manufacturing environments
Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
Demonstrated ability to deliver complex, multi-site or high-value projects
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control
Knowledge of health & safety and food industry regulations
Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) desirable
