Job Description

GRS are currently recruiting for an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support commissioning activities on a Water Treatment project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out commissioning of LV electrical systems and MCC panels

  • Complete all commissioning documentation, including functional test reports, electrical test sheets, and O&M input.

  • Liaise with the delivery, controls, and mechanical teams to ensure systems are ready for commissioning and testing.

  • Identify and resolve snags and faults during commissioning, escalating issues as required to ensure timely resolution.

  • Ensure all electrical commissioning is carried out to the correct standards and complies with health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in electrical commissioning, ideally within the water/wastewater or process engineering sectors.

  • Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems, MCCs, instrumentation, and control interfaces.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Competent in producing commissioning documentation and technical reports.

  • ECS/CSCS card and appropriate electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition).

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Desirable:

  • Experience with water or utilities frameworks.

  • Confined space, DOMS, or EUSR water hygiene card.

  • Experience with PLC I/O testing and basic fault-finding.
