Low Carbon Recruitment is partnering with a well-established multi-trade company to find a fully qualified Commercial Gas Engineer. The company are based in Belfast and have been running for over 20 years and have over 300 employees.
The work is within a 2 hour radius of theirs offices and involves servicing, maintaining, and installing gas appliances and heating systems across commercial properties, including universities and high-rise buildings.
Responsibilities
Service, repair, and maintain commercial gas appliances and heating systems in large-scale commercial properties.
Install and commission domestic and commercial gas systems, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Provide high-quality customer service, meeting performance targets and maintaining safety standards.
Ensure all work adheres to industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company specifications.
Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects efficiently, with minimal supervision.
Daily Tasks
Diagnose and repair faults in heating systems and gas appliances across commercial properties.
Service gas appliances according to manufacturer guidelines and complete necessary safety records.
Manage van stock, ensuring materials are available and stored safely.
Accurately document job progress and timesheets using IT systems.
Communicate effectively with clients, building managers, and other tradespeople regarding work timelines and progress.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer, particularly with large-scale commercial properties like universities and high-rise buildings.
3-5 Years Experience
Strong understanding of gas maintenance, installation, and safety compliance in complex environments.
Ability to work independently, troubleshoot efficiently, and meet deadlines.
Full UK driving licence and Gas Safe registration are essential.
Familiarity with managing multiple projects and coordinating with various stakeholders in commercial settings.
