CNC Machinist
Lodestone Recruitment is currently partnered with a local manufacturer for the medical sector. Due to an increase in work, they seek skilled CNC Machinists for their Sheffield facility. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a precision engineering environment producing high-quality medical components.
The Role
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machines to manufacture orthopaedic medical components. You ll work with high-spec materials in a regulated environment where quality and accuracy are critical.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting and operating CNC machines (Milling and/or Turning considered)
- Working to tight tolerances and detailed engineering drawings
- Conducting in-process inspection using measuring equipment
- Ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Working Hours (37.5 hours per week)
Rotating shifts (Monday to Friday, no nights):
- Days: 6am 2pm (Mon Thurs), 6am 11:30am (Friday)
- Afternoons: 1:45pm 10pm (Mon Thurs), 11:15am 3:45pm (Friday)

About You
We re looking for candidates who:
- Must be Apprentice trained or Time-served
- Have experience in CNC Machining (setting and operating with basic editing)
- Can read and interpret engineering drawings
- Have experience working to tight tolerances
- Are quality-focused and detail-oriented
- Are reliable and able to work rotating shifts

Based in North Sheffield with good links to M1, with plentiful free onsite parking.
