MARS is working with a specialist manufacturer in the Swindon area is who is looking to recruit a Workshop Technician responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and testing their impressive systems. The Workshop Technicians duties include precision machining, fabrication, and hot works such as MiG/TiG welding and brazing. The successful Workshop Technician will be a Time Served Machining Technician / Mechanical Engineer / Fitter (City and Guilds, NVQ level 3 or equivalent).

About you:
The successful Workshop Technician will be a Time Served Machining Technician / Mechanical Engineer / Fitter (City and Guilds, NVQ level 3 or equivalent).
Experience
- Minimum 3 years post Apprenticeship in a similar role.
- Manufacturing components and assemblies for commercial sale.
- Welding / brazing (advantageous)
- Manual machining of components using centre-lathes, turret mills, pillar drills etc.
- ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacture components.
- Proficient with measuring instruments( micrometres, vernier callipers).
- Good working knowledge of Standards, limits and fits.
- Mig / Tig welding would be advantageous
- Strong practical problem-solving skills
- Driving Licence.
