Our client, a reputable family-run franchise-approved dealership in Swansea, is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join their established team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician specialising in diagnostics to develop their career within a respected local business.

Duties of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:

  • Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs in line with dealership standards
  • accurately diagnose vehicle faults and report findings to the Workshop Controller
  • Ensure vehicle safety, reliability, and performance meet required standards
  • Adhere strictly to quality procedures and diagnostic protocols set by the dealership
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on vehicle systems and diagnostic tools
  • Work effectively as part of a team within a busy workshop environment
  • Document all work performed accurately and efficiently

Requirements:

  • IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, ideally within a main dealership environment
  • Strong diagnostic skills and background in fault finding
  • UK driving licence with minimal points
  • MOT licence is highly advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to work to high standards with attention to detail
  • Professional attitude and good communication skills
