CNC Milling Operator

We are excited to be working with a well-established precision engineering and manufacturing organisation looking to recruit a CNC Milling Operator to join its production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist to work on precision components within a professional manufacturing environment, producing high-quality parts from both 3D models and engineering drawings.

You will be responsible for operating CNC milling machines, ensuring all components are produced accurately and efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Create, load and modify CNC programmes

Set up tools and load materials onto CNC milling machines

Machine precision components to specification

Conduct inspection and first-off checks to ensure quality standards

Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation

Identify drawing errors and recommend improvements

Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment

Support production objectives and collaborate with supervisors and managers

Fully skilled time-served engineer or toolmaker with CNC milling experience

Experience as a CNC setter/operator

Ability to machine non-ferrous materials to tight tolerances

Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Experience using a range of precision measuring equipment

Ability to work independently and take initiative

Experience with HEIDENHAIN control systems
