Core Roles and Responsibilities
- Assessment & Care Planning: Developing comprehensive, patient-centered care plans by assessing physical, social, and mental health needs.
- Medication Management: Administering, monitoring, and reviewing medications and their effects on patients, adhering to legal and professional standards.
- Therapeutic Intervention: Building, maintaining, and fostering therapeutic relationships with patients and their families to encourage engagement in treatment.
- Risk Assessment & Management: Identifying risks to self or others, creating safety plans, and using de-escalation techniques during crises.
- Advocacy & Support: Empowering patients to take control of their health, acting as their advocate, and ensuring their voice is heard
- Acute Inpatient Units/Hospitals: Assisting with admissions, intensive care, and daily psychiatric care.
