Job Description

A leading Chambers in Liverpool is seeking a Fees Clerk to join their busy and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career within legal finance and billing, with full training provided for the right candidate.

The Role

You will support the Family Fees Clerk with the billing and processing of all family fees, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and excellent communication with legal professionals.

Key duties include:

  • Accurate billing of family fees and processing payments/remittance statements
  • Liaising with Barristers and Solicitors via phone and email
  • Updating and maintaining records on the Case Management System (LEX)
  • Assisting with aged debt and chasing outstanding payments
  • Supporting the Family Fees Clerk and Chambers Director with any additional tasks
About You
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Calm, organised and able to work in a busy environment
  • Self-motivated with a positive, team-focused attitude
  • Prior experience is beneficial but not essential
Hours & Benefits
  • Hours: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
  • Holidays: 20 days per year (initially)
