Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant (SEND TA)

Day Rate: £95+ (dependent on experience) Location: Manchester M21 Position: Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant (SEND TA) Contract Type: Full time/Day to Day/ Long term Start Date: May 2026, or sooner subject to compliance checks.

• Be a role model, mentor and daily support to the child/ren you will be working with.
• Support students with SEND to overcome social and academic barriers.
• Support the class teacher in delivery of the curriculum.
• Make reasonable adjustments to ensure students thrive in the setting.
• Provide 1:1 or group support to identified students.
• Be passionate about supporting students with SEMH needs.
• Provide support advice and guidance.
• Promote independence in line with the setting's policy.

• A small SEMH specialist education setting.

• Provides learning opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom.
• Support students to find new talents.

• Excellent training opportunities for all TAs, including CPD training sessions on Autism Awareness, Team Teach, Behaviour Management, and Non-verbal Communication.

• You're an experienced Teaching Assistant.
• You have an energetic and bubbly personality.
• You have knowledge of SEND and how it may impact students.
• You want to make a difference to the lives of young people.
• You have experience of working with students aged 11-14.
