Teaching Assistant (SEN Focus) - Primary School

Bond Education is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Hackney to recruit a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a strong interest in Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful impact on children's lives, particularly those who require additional support to thrive in a classroom environment. The role will involve working closely with pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.
The Role:
• Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, and SEMH)
• Supporting the class teacher in delivering inclusive, differentiated lessons
• Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
• Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
• Experience supporting children with SEN in a school, care, or youth setting
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• A proactive mindset and willingness to adapt to individual pupil needs
• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
