1:1 Speech and Language Therapist

Supply Desk is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive school in Flackwell Heath, seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional communication needs. Starting September 2026, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact through consistent, personalised intervention.

The Role

This is a highly rewarding position focused on unlocking communication, confidence, and independence. You ll work closely with a pupil on a 1:1 basis, supporting their speech, language, and communication development within a nurturing school environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering individualised speech and language therapy sessions
  • Supporting communication, language processing, and social interaction skills
  • Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans
  • Monitoring progress and adapting strategies to meet evolving needs
  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure a joined-up approach
  • Supporting the pupil s participation and confidence across the school day

Who We re Looking For

You re compassionate, patient, and passionate about helping children communicate and thrive.

You will ideally:

  • Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist (HCPC registered or working towards)
  • Have experience supporting children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN)
    (experience with ASD is highly desirable)
  • Be confident working 1:1 within a school setting
  • Use creative, child-centred strategies to engage and motivate
  • Be a strong communicator who works well as part of a multidisciplinary team
