SEND Teaching Assistant - SEMH & Behaviour SupportAspire People are recruiting a resilient and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) within a primary setting.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can build strong relationships with pupils who may display challenging behaviour.The Role: Supporting pupils across the classroom with SEMH and behavioural needs Assisting with behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation Working with small groups to support engagement in learning Helping pupils develop coping strategies and positive routines Supporting during unstructured times such as break and lunch Working closely with teaching staff to maintain consistencyThe Ideal Candidate: Experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs Background in youth work, care, or similar roles is highly beneficial Calm, resilient, and confident approach Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills Ability to build trust and positive relationshipsWhy Work with Aspire People: Excellent rates of pay Opportunities for long-term and permanent roles Ongoing professional development Support from a dedicated education consultantAspire People Limited provides services as an Education Agency and an Education Employment Business.
