GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant with PRU experience to work within a supportive Pupil Referral Unit in Hartlepool. This is a fantastic opportunity to positively impact students who require additional behavioural, emotional, and academic support.

What You'll Be Doing as a PRU Teaching Assistant (TA):

• Supporting pupils with SEMH, behavioural needs, and additional learning challenges
• Working one-to-one or in small groups to encourage engagement and progress
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
• Providing pastoral support and building trusted relationships with pupils
• Supporting safeguarding, wellbeing, and individual support plans
• Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience working in a PRU or alternative provision - essential
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Strong behaviour management and de escalation skills
• Ability to build positive, professional relationships with pupils
• A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable young people
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
