Electrical Installation Engineer
Location: Wigan
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum plus 20% Overtime
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Installation Engineer to join a busy engineering team delivering industrial automation and conveyor solutions. This role is a mix of workshop preparation and on-site installation, ideal for hands on engineers who understand control panels inside out and enjoy working on real industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparing electrical systems, panels and equipment in the workshop prior to installation
- Installing control panels and electrical systems on customer sites
- Working with conveyor and material handling systems
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Supporting commissioning activities and ensuring installations are delivered to specification
- Liaising with engineering and controls teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Travel to customer sites, approximately 70% of the role
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Strong experience as an Electrical Installation Engineer
- Proven knowledge of control panels and their operation
- Experience working with conveyor systems
- Ability to work independently on site and in the workshop
- Willingness to travel regularly
Desirable:
- Experience in FMCG or industrial automation environments
- Familiarity with commissioning industrial automation systems
