Technical Production Operative

Thrive Personnel ltd are looking for a Technical Production Operative to join our client a leading FMCG manufacturer in Leeds.

The Technical Production Operative is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of production machinery and equipment within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing environment. This role involves troubleshooting, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring production targets are met while adhering to strict quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor production machinery, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.

Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on equipment, following established procedures.

Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and work with maintenance teams to resolve issues promptly.

Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards and specifications.

Maintain accurate production records and report any deviations or issues to the supervisor.

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.

Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate's degree preferred.

Proven experience operating and maintaining production machinery in an FMCG environment.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing setting.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

This is a permanent role working days Monday to Friday.
