A specialist setting in the Rotherham (S25) area is seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teacher to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

This school provides a structured, supportive and trauma-informed environment for students with SEMH needs. Staff work closely together to build consistency, trust and positive relationships, helping students re-engage with learning and develop both academically and personally. Clear routines and a strong emphasis on emotional regulation and wellbeing are central to the school's approach.

As an SEMH Teacher, you will plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEMH challenges. You will focus on engagement, behaviour support and creating a safe, predictable and positive learning environment that supports progress.

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for students with SEMH needs
• Use trauma-informed and behaviour-supportive approaches to engage learners
• Build strong, consistent and trusting relationships with students
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and individual support plans
• Work closely with support staff, pastoral teams and wider professionals
• Monitor and track student progress and emotional development
• Contribute to a safe, structured and supportive learning environment

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience working with SEMH or additional needs in a school setting
• Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
• Calm, resilient and adaptable approach
• Ability to build rapport with students who may present challenging behaviour
• Commitment to supporting vulnerable learners in a structured environment
