Cold End Operator

At Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions we are looking for a Cold-End Operator to work in our Production team, helping to deliver site reliability by keeping our machines running, monitoring quality and packaging issues, thus ensuring we meet our commitments to our customers to deliver world leading products on time, every time.

This Cold-End Operator will be a part of the Shift Production Team. The team has varied levels of skills and experience, and we work together closely to ensure we achieve results in a safe and effective manner. We're looking for someone who would love to develop within our organisation with a view to future-proofing our business.

Isover is part of Saint-Gobain and offers thermal and acoustic insulation solutions for roofs, walls and floors. Our Isover business designs and manufactures mineral wool insulation solutions in a UK-based plant in Runcorn, Cheshire, which uses 100% renewable electricity. We provide solutions across a wide range of applications, including technical insulation for industry and HVAC, distributed nationwide through our valued channel partners.

We work a continental 12-hour rota consisting of two days, two nights, then four off. In return for your dedication and enthusiasm to thrive in our unique business we are offering a generous salary, plus bonus and many other benefits.

What we're looking for:

• Experience of working in a furnace-based manufacturing setting would be ideal, however any machine operator/warehouse experience would be considered
• FLT licence or experience would be desirable
• A strong Health and Safety mindset
• Collaborative and a team-player
• Ability to work autonomously and use your own initiative to identify solutions

What you will be doing:

• Machine fault-finding and collaborate with the Engineering Team on fixes.
• Operating the packaging machinery
• Responsible for the quality of packaging, raising issues and identifying solutions
• Movement of product around the site using MHE
• Act as a H&S ambassador, challenging unsafe behaviours
• Identify areas for improvement to keep our business efficient
