You will be tasked with raising standards of attainment and achievement, monitoring pupil progress, formulating the faculty improvement plan and leading the development of English and it's delivery. Moreover, you will be an excellent Social Sciences Teacher that leads by example, serving as an exceptional role model for high quality teaching and learning.

Ideally you will have completed some NPQs and be ready to step into this role in September, although they are not essential. Suitable applicants will have experience of involvement in innovative curriculum development, as well as experience of delivering high quality INSET to teaching staff within subject area, and of using coaching as a model for ensuring ongoing professional development.

CANDIDATE SPEC - Head of Social Sciences

• QTS or QTLS
• Experience teaching in UK Inner City Schools beneficial
• Proven success in raising attainment across the board
• Keen interest in utilising ICT
• Experience of embedding strategies for Assessment for Learning
• Prior middle leadership experience i.e 2iC, KS Coordinator or current HOD.
• Strong academic background desired.
