HGV Mechanic

Job Title: HGV TechnicianLocation: RomfordJob Type: Full-timeWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 4:00pm (Overtime available)Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and motivated HGV Technician to join our clients Romford location. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a fleet of heavy goods vehicles. This includes carrying out routine maintenance, diagnosing faults, and completing high-quality repairs.This is a static position with occasional travel to breakdwons required.HGV TechnicianKey Responsibilities

• Repair or replace components including engines, transmissions, and braking systems
• Ensure all vehicles meet current HGV legislation and safety standards
• Use diagnostic tools to accurately identify faults
• Interpret diagnostic data and determine appropriate repair actions
• Assess issues reported by drivers and carry out initial fault diagnosis
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and service history

HGV TechnicianRequirements

• Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and repair
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a commercial vehicle workshop or similar environment
• NVQ Level 3 in HGV Service and Maintenance (preferred)
• IRTEC accreditation (advantageous)
• Category C+E driving licence (essential)
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
