Project Manager - Band 8A

NHS Trust - London / Hybrid

Fixed term (12 months) 37.5 hours per week

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading NHS organisation in London.

You will play a key role in delivering a diverse portfolio of high-impact transformation, clinical and technical projects, working closely with senior clinical leaders, operational teams and external partners. This is a highly visible role with real influence on improving services and outcomes for patients.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex projects, from initiation through to implementation and benefits realisation
  • Develop and manage key project documentation (e.g. PID, business cases, risk logs, highlight reports)
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders, including clinicians and executive leaders
  • Manage project risks, issues, timelines and resources to ensure successful delivery
  • Support procurement processes, including supplier engagement and contract management
  • Drive service improvement and change management activities, ensuring smooth transition into business-as-usual
  • Present progress, risks and outcomes to programme boards and senior leadership

About you

We're looking for a confident and proactive Project Manager who can operate in a complex healthcare environment.

You will have:

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification (essential)
  • Experience in healthcare or the NHS (essential)
  • Proven experience delivering complex or strategic projects
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience in governance, reporting, and project lifecycle management
  • Ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences
